An den Campi CCM, CVK und CBF werden seit vielen Jahren eine Vielzahl klinischer Studien durchgeführt:
In den nephrologischen Sprechstunden sind das Studien zur Behandlung von ADPKD, IgA Nephropathie, Morbus Fabry, membranöser GN, Vaskulitiden, FSGS, Hyperoxalurie, diabetischer Nephropathie, TSC, aHUS und arterieller Hypertonie.
Im Bereich der Dialyse werden Studien zur Behandlung renaler Anämie sowie zu prophylaktischen Maßnahmen bei Shunt-Problemen durchgeführt.
Im Transplantationsbereich sind es Studien zur Untersuchung moderner Immunsuppressiva, Optimierung der Immunsuppression im Langzeitverlauf, Transplantation bei Hepatitis C-positivem Spender, zur Behandlung mit präformierten alloreaktiven T-Zellen bei TX mit Blutgruppeninkompatibilität, CMV Prophylaxe bei CMV D+/R- Transplantationen, DGF und AMR.
In Zusammenarbeit mit der herzchirurgischen Klinik wurden Studien bei AKI durchgeführt. Mit der Klinik der Onkologie wird bei Projekten zur Erforschung der Behandlung von PTLD zusammengearbeitet.
Auf den intensivmedizinischen Stationen gibt es Studienprojekte zu Sepsis, septischem Schock, Hypothermie, Zustand nach Reanimation sowie zur Ultraschalldiagnostik.
Das Studienspektrum umfasst Arzneimittelstudien von Phase IB-IV ebenso wie Anwendungsbeobachtungen und große Registerstudien.
